About Me

I'm Jason Cornett, owner and photographer at Jaybird Aerial Photography. My eye for detail was shaped long before I ever lifted a drone off the ground. I spent years working as a criminal investigator, where photography wasn't a creative outlet — it was a critical skill. Capturing a scene accurately, completely, and with purpose became second nature.

 

When I picked up my first drone, something clicked. I was hooked from the very first flight. What started as a personal passion quickly grew into something I never anticipated: a full-time career built around sharing the place I love most from a perspective most people never get to see.

 

Western North Carolina isn't just where I work — it's home. These mountains, these ridgelines, these communities tucked into the hollows and hilltops of the High Country — I never get tired of seeing them from above. Every shoot is a chance to show someone else what I see, whether that's a buyer falling in love with a property before they ever set foot on it, or a homeowner seeing their land in a whole new way.

 

Nine years in, I'm still as passionate about this work as I was on day one. I'd love to bring that passion to your next listing.
